Program Services
The
ASPIRA Upward Bound Program provides comprehensive services to youth
who need to improve their academic preparation and desire to undertake
and complete a post-secondary education program. Program services include:

career and vocational counseling

referral to educational institutions

counseling for college admissions and financial aid

intensive academic tutoring in English, Spanish, mathematics and sciences

personal counseling and tutoring for the college entrance examinations

application completion assistance for college admissions and financial aid
The
program offers coping skills and leadership development seminars and
workshops in study skills, sex education, the job market, attitudes
and values, and decision making. Participants are also encouraged to
attend remedial classes, cultural events, and weekend retreats to enhance
and cultivate individual and group values.
